Description: The American breeds are known as sturdy backyard production fowl with plenty of body capacity to produce both meat and eggs. The Plymouth Rock, in particular, has been an enduring favorite among the American breeds for its graceful lines, balance, and beauty. The bantam Plymouth Rocks maintain the production capacity and eye appeal in a diminutive form. We are offering them in the Columbian pattern – a contrast of black and white markings that are striking for their simplicity. Males have “black diamond” striping in their hackle and saddle feathers and females have the same black hackle striping as well as tail coverts that are black edged in white. We have a limited number of high quality Columbian Plymouth Rock Bantam trios available. If you’re looking for a bird that is both practical and flashy, this might be just the bird to fit the bill.

Pricing: Columbian Plymouth Rock trios are priced at $300. Box and shipping in the lower 48 states runs $260. The total cost for the birds with shipping and box is $560.

Recognition: Columbian Plymouth Rock Bantams are recognized by both the APA and ABA for exhibition.

Shipping season: Columbian Plymouth Rocks generally ship the end of October through the end of May, depending on availability.

  • We take great pride in shipping the vey best birds available. When you purchase from Blue Hour you have the confidence of purchasing from breeders with fifty years or more of experience breeding and selecting standard-bred fowl. We guarantee the birds are true to breed standard, healthy, and shipped using USPS approved boxes. We generally ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. Birds ship USPS Express Mail out of Portland, Oregon. If you would like to pick up at the farm or arrange courier pick up we can work with you to arrange a pick up date. Birds are normally shipped the end of October through the end of May. We do not ship during the summer months due to heat, though pick up at the farm can be arranged year-round.

  • We put a great deal of effort into making sure the birds we ship are healthy, boxed in USPS approved shipping boxes, and are packed with a source of moisture to reduce travel stress. Birds are shipped FOB Origin meaning the buyer takes ownership of the birds once they leave our hands. We recommend that you contact your local post office and ask them to call you as soon as the birds arrive, and add electrolytes to your birds’ drinking water upon arrival. Limit their feed for the first day. Travel is a stressor so it can take some time for birds to settle into their new environment. We do not offer a shipping refund for delayed arrival. The USPS offers $100 insurance per parcel in the event of loss. If you experience the loss of bird in transit you may request the insurance refund, if you choose to, via the USPS website. This purchase is not refundable.
